Join us and present your research at the 11TH IWA Conference on Odours and Air Emissions 2026 on 2 – 5 November 2026!

In effort to encourage interdisciplinary exchange, single-session format with all presentations taking place sequentially in one auditorium will be adopted. With this in mind, each presentation is expected to have full participation from the attendees.

Share your latest research and technologies, address the growing challenges in odour management and air emissions, exchange knowledge with experts, and be a part in contribute to advancing the field.

Paper Abstract Guidelines

All abstracts submitted for the 11th IWA Conference on Odours & Air Emissions (MYOdour) will be reviewed by the Conference Technical Committee for quality, relevance, and suitability.

Paper Abstract Submission Guidelines

General Policies and Requirements

Online submission is the only method for submitting paper abstracts for the 11th IWA Conference on Odours and Air Emissions. The paper abstract submission deadline is 6 July 2026.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Technical Committee as to their eligibility and suitability. Abstracts will be evaluated based on:

  • Quality of scientific content
  • Educational value and clarity
  • Relevance to the conference

The Technical Committee reserves the right to accept or reject submissions, and all decisions are final. The outcome of paper abstract submissions will be email on 24 July 2026.

By submitting an abstract, the authors agree to the Speaker/Author Agreement.

Authors can submit multiple paper abstracts, but the Technical committee reserves the right to limit to presenting a maximum of two presentations.

Authors of accepted paper abstracts are required to submit a full paper in line with published timelines.

If selected, authors consent to photography, video, and audio recording, which may be used by EPG International Sdn. Bhd. for promotional and conference purposes.

Accepted full papers will be sent to IWA Publishing for full reviewing and potential publication in one of IWA Publishing Journals. This process is independent of the conference.

Paper Abstract Submission

Submit a paper abstract via the paper abstract submission portal (Here).

All submissions must comply with the following:

  • All Paper abstracts must be written in English.
  • Paper abstracts should not exceed 300 words.
  • Must clearly define the objective, methodology, and key findings
  • Must be original and relevant to the conference theme
  • A processing fee of RM 500.00 will be imposed after acceptance of paper abstract.
  • Authors of accepted paper abstracts are required to register to attend the full conference as delegates before 4 September 2026.

Submitting a Paper Abstract

All paper abstract submitted for the conference must follow these steps.

  • Create an account via the paper abstract submission portal (Here)
  • Complete required details, including:
    • Author contact information
    • A recent headshot
    • A 100-word biography
    • Presentation details

Post Submission

  • Abstracts should not be duplicated or resubmitted.
  • Results will be announced on 24 July 2026.
  • Accepted authors must submit a full paper.

Presentation Types

Authors may indicate their preferred presentation format from the options below. Please note that the final allocation of presentation format is at the discretion of the Technical Committee and may differ from the author’s selection.

Oral Presentations

Oral presentations will be allocated 20 minutes, which includes time for questions and answer to be held at the conclusion of each presentation. Presentation slides are mandatory. A full paper is required to deliver an oral presentation.

Full Papers

If your abstract is accepted, a full paper will be required by 4 September 2026.

All papers submitted are peer-reviewed by members of the Technical Committee and authors are requested to be respectful of submission deadlines, to allow adequate time for the reviews to be completed.

Full Papers

  • Papers should be between 5-8 pages including illustrations and biography.
  • An appendix may be included which does not contribute to the page count.

Speaker/Author Agreement

By submitting a paper presentation and/or materials for the 11th IWA Conference on Odours and Air Emissions (MYOdour), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms set by EPG International Sdn Bhd.

Author Responsibilities

I confirm and agree that I:

  • Am solely responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and referencing of all content within my submission and presentation
  • Have obtained all necessary permissions, consents, and approvals to use any third-party materials included in my work
  • Have complied with all applicable legal and ethical requirements, where relevant
  • Agree to assist, where reasonably required, in media, publicity, or promotional activities related to the Conference, including interviews

Consent and Use of Materials

I grant permission to EPG International Sdn. Bhd.:

  • Publish my personal details (including name, position, and organisation) on conference platforms, websites, and promotional materials
  • Record, broadcast, transmit, and/or live stream my presentation, and make recordings available to conference participants or via official platforms
  • Use and publish photographs, video, and audio recordings taken before, during, and after the event for promotional and educational purposes
